Watching TV with your new hearing-aids

  1. The distance between you and your TV is usually greater than the distance between two persons in a normal face-to-face conversation.
  2. The sound from your TV is affected by the quality of your TV speakers and the acoustics of your TV room.
  3. Speech on TV is often at a fast rate and not adapted to people who are hearing impaired. This is why many people with hearing loss, especially in old age, have difficulty following the speech on TV even when using hearing aids and hearing loud enough.

If you have difficulty understanding speech on TV, even when the volume of your hearing aids is loud enough in most of your everyday situations, we recommend you consider using a special headset for listening to TV. It should not replace your hearing aids but provide a designated solution for watching TV only.
