How long will my hearing aid last?

The lifespan of a BTE hearing aid can vary widely depending on the type of hearing aid, the level of use, and the care provided. For example, if a hearing aid is worn daily and exposed to moisture, dust, and other environmental factors, it may need to be replaced more frequently. If the hearing aid is worn less frequently and is well-maintained, it may last longer. Daily cleaning, storage in a dehumidifier, keeping them away from heat, moisture and pets will definitely help extend your hearing aids' life.

It’s worth remembering that regardless of the lifespan of the device, hearing loss can change over time, so it’s important to have regular hearing evaluations to ensure that the hearing aid is still providing adequate amplification.

Also, many people decide to buy new hearing aids simply because there are new technologies on the market that can help them improve their hearing. So, stay updated with our new technologies from time to time. You may decide to try them even before your current hearing aids reach the end of their life.
